General Description

The at-home portion of this course builds on the live instruction, offering participants the opportunity to apply concepts, deepen their knowledge, and complete required assignments at their own pace. This self-directed learning component aligns with the Texas Administrative Code §681.147, which allows up to 90 days for course completion.

This portion is designed to reinforce key topics covered in the live sessions, focusing on the practical application of supervision models, ethical standards, and professional responsibilities as an LPC supervisor. Participants will engage in case studies, readings, video modules, and reflection exercises, culminating in assignments that demonstrate their understanding of the material.


Modules and Descriptions

Module 1: Practical Application of Supervision Models

Time Requirement: 6 hours

  • Description: Participants will explore real-world case studies and create practical plans using the supervision models covered during the live sessions. This module emphasizes how to tailor supervision approaches to meet the unique needs of supervisees.
  • Assignments: Case study analysis, development of supervision plans, and reflective writing on model integration.
Module 2: Ethical Standards in Practice

Time Requirement: 6 hours

  • Description: This module reinforces the ethical considerations discussed in the live portion, focusing on complex scenarios supervisors may face. Participants will review ethical decision-making models and apply them to hypothetical situations.
  • Assignments: Review and application of ethical decision-making frameworks, completion of an ethics quiz, and scenario-based responses.
Module 3: Administrative Responsibilities of a Supervisor

  • Assignments: Completion of a supervision readiness checklist and review of TAC §681.72 and §681.147 compliance requirements.
